Why Fly with Firefly

How to Check In

Firefly offer passengers the chance to check in online before arriving at the airport in order to streamline your journey. Travelers to Singapore and Malaysian domestic destinations are able to check-in for both outgoing and return flights up to 14 days before your flight and up to one hour before your departure time. Any passengers on flights to Indonesia or Thailand are required to check-in the old fashioned way at the airport. All travelers will need to print out their boarding pass before arriving at the airport in order to board the plane. The airline also operates a code-share system that enables passengers to check-in at a self check-in kiosk in order to save time queuing.

Baggage Allowance and Fees

All passengers on Firefly flights are entitled to checked baggage up to 20kg in addition to one item of free hand luggage to take on board. All hand baggage must not weight more than 7kg or exceed dimensions of 56cm x 36cm x 23cm. Any hand baggage that does not adhere to these requirements must be checked in as a separate piece of checked baggage which will incur an additional 42AED* fee. On top of this, each passenger is also permitted an additional personal item such as a handbag, laptop or briefcase to take on board free of charge. Passengers are able to purchase additional baggage weight in 5kg, 10kg or 15kg increments at an additional fee. The fee varies according to your destination but it is significantly cheaper to purchase additional baggage online as opposed to at the airport.

Firefly flights are single-class and offer reasonable leg room as well as the chance for passengers to select their own preferred seat. During the booking process, travelers can choose between a standard, preferred or desired seat which varies in price according to your final destination. If you do not select a preferred seat before boarding, you will be randomly allocated a seat at no extra charge.

Booking Fees

Those booking with Firefly are not subjected to any hidden fees or charges and the airline are transparent about any taxes payable on your ticket. If selecting your seat during the booking process, you will be required to pay an additional fee depending on the seat you have selected.
