Why Fly with Volaris

How to Check in

Passengers with Volaris are able to check-in over the web to save time at the airport, or you can do things the old fashioned way by checking in at an airport counter. Checking in online is available from 72 hours before domestic flights and 24 hours before international flights, closing 1 hour before scheduled departure times. You are also able to select a preferred seat during the check-in process to make sure you can sit with family or get a window/aisle seat, and a boarding pass can be printed off to save time at the airport. The airline advises passengers to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before flights, especially if you have baggage to check-in or pay for.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Travelers with Volaris are able to bring baggage to check-in as part of the fare, although how much you are allowed depends on your destination. On most flights passengers are entitled to bring one bag up to 25kg, although additional bags can be checked in for a surcharge. As well as checked baggage, you are also allowed to bring two items of hand baggage on flights weighing up to 7kg in total. Any excess baggage can be paid for before arriving at the airport, or you can arrange payment at an airport counter.

Volaris flights offer Economy Class seating and specific seats can be reserved before boarding for an additional fee - fees vary according to your route, so be sure to check with the airline for up-to-date prices. However, be advised that prices are far cheaper when booking online or over the phone compared to the rates offered at the airport. Economy seating offers ample legroom with a seat pitch of 30-32 inches.
