Cheap Flights from Mumbai to Dubai

Dubai is served by two airports - Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport. While there are currently flights from Mumbai to Dubai International Airport, there are no active routes to Al Maktoum International Airport. There are a number of airlines operating flights to Dubai International Airport - these are Air India, Air India Express, Emirates, flydubai, IndiGo, Jet Airways and SpiceJet. All flights from Mumbai leave from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, also known as Mumbai Airport, the primary airport serving the city.

Airport Information - Arriving

Dubai International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports capable of handling over 90 million passengers each year. The airport is made up of three passenger terminals and offers flights to destinations all over the globe. Terminals 1 and 3 are connected by the Dubai Metro network, while those who need to get to Terminal 2 can hop on the free shuttle bus service at the airport which takes around 20 minutes. Dubai International Airport is home to a world-class array of amenities including duty free shopping, high-end shops and restaurants to keep you entertained during your stay. You will also find several car rental companies on-site if you need to rent a car during your trip in Dubai.

Al Maktoum International Airport initially opened up in 2010 to further add to Dubai’s passenger capacity and is projected to be able to handle up to 260 million passengers a year at full capacity. Although only a small number of carriers operate at the airport, the number is slowly increasing each year. There are not currently any flights from Mumbai to Al Maktoum International Airport other than cargo flights. The airport is located 37km from the city of Dubai and will eventually be directly linked to Dubai International Airport.

Airport Information - Departing

Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is the main airport serving Mumbai and is India’s second busiest airport. Situated 28km from Mumbai, the airport has two passenger terminals which are located 4km apart from one another. If you need to transfer between terminals there is a complimentary shuttle service going between the two - be advised that Terminal 1 is reserved mostly for domestic flights and Terminal 2 is utilized for international routes. A wide selection of shops, restaurants and cafes are open to passengers at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport so you won’t be short of things to do.
