Istanbul Ataturk Airport is the main airport in Istanbul and also Turkey’s busiest situated roughly 25km outside of Istanbul. At the airport travelers can enjoy an extensive selection of amenities and facilities so you won’t be short on things to do. Alongside a sizeable collection of shops where you can get everything from designer goods to travel basics, the airport is home to a wide range of places to eat and drink if you want to grab a bite to eat before continuing your journey. The airport itself consists of two passenger terminals which are interconnected so you can easily transfer between terminals on foot. Getting from the airport into central Istanbul is possible on public transport including by metro or bus and taxis are also easily found.

Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport is Istanbul’s second airport located 35km outside of the city. All of the amenities and services you would expect can be found whether it’s places to eat and drink or shops to pass the time browsing through, so you won’t be short on things to do whilst waiting for your flight. If you want to travel onward into Istanbul then you can use either a ferry or bus service or hop in a taxi outside the airport.

Airport Information - Departing

Ankara Esenboga Airport is the main airport serving the capital of Turkey. Although the airport has been in operation since 1955, it recently opened up a brand new terminal complex including both a Domestic and International Terminal in 2006. You will find everything you would need at the airport whether it’s retail and travel shops or somewhere to sit down with a drink or a meal. The airport is linked to Ankara by bus if you prefer public transport, although you can just as easily use a taxi or find parking at the airport.
