How to Check in

BMI offer passengers the chance to check-in online before arriving at the airport, or passengers may wish to check-in the old fashioned way at the airport. The web check-in service is available to passengers from 48 hours up to 4 hours before your scheduled departure time. After checking in, passengers will either need to print off your boarding pass or in some cases a mobile boarding pass can be sent to your device. Those needing to check-in luggage must arrive at a BMI check-in desk at least 30 minutes before your flight. When checking in online, travelers are also able to select a seat. All those flying on an Executive fare are able to benefit from fast track boarding and enjoy lounge access before your flight.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Those flying with BMI are permitted complimentary check-in baggage which varies according to your ticket and flight class. All passengers flying on a Sale, Classic and ClassicPlus ticket are entitled to one item of checked baggage up to 23kg, while those with an Executive fare are allowed to check-in two items of baggage no heavier than 23kg each. Any passengers with overweight baggage are subject to charges of 46AED per kilo, while there is also the option to purchase additional baggage allowances for a fee of 185AED* per 23kg item. Sale, Classic and ClassicPlus fare passengers are also permitted to bring one hand baggage item on-board up to 12kg as well as an additional personal item such as a handbag or briefcase. while those flying on an Executive fare are allowed two hand baggage items in addition to a personal item. The maximum size of all hand baggage must not exceed 55cm x 40cm x 23cm.

Those booking with BMI can either fly on a Sale, Classic and ClassicPlus fare or an Executive fare which offers many additional perks. All fares offer a seat pitch of 31 inches, while on-board priviliges vary according to your flight class.
