London Heathrow Airport is the busiest airport in London and the UK. It consists of four passenger terminals. Once you have landed at the airport there are several ways to reach central London and the surrounding area. The quickest way is on the Heathrow Express train service which will take just 15 minutes to reach central London, or you can hop on the London Underground instead. You will also be able to find taxis 24 hours a day or catch a local bus/coach service if you are on a budget. Also, there are several car rental agencies if you want to explore London or more of England by car. The airport itself offers a world-class range of amenities and services, so you can pass the time by browsing through the many retail, designer and duty-free shops or grab a bite to eat at a restaurant/café.

London Gatwick Airport is London’s second busiest airport, situated approximately 50 km from central London. The airport is made up of two passenger terminals and offers an excellent range of amenities and services. The quickest way from the airport into London is the Gatwick Express train which will only take around 30 minutes, but there are alternatives including buses, coaches and taxis.

London City Airport is made up of a single passenger terminal and is situated just 7 km from central London. If you don’t want to take a taxi when you arrive at the airport, there is a London Underground station which gives you access to the underground network. Although the airport is relatively small you can find a good range of amenities and services including a few bars and restaurants as well as essential travel shops.

London Luton Airport is located around 45 km from central London and is set within a single terminal complex. Taking a taxi into London can be expensive so if you are on a budget you may be better off taking a train from the airport train station, Luton Parkway, which can be accessed via shuttle bus. The airport offers a broad range of cafés and eateries as well as retail and duty-free shopping.

London Southend Airport is situated around 60 km from London and comprised of a single terminal. The fastest way to get into London from the airport is via train, although you can find bus and coach services as an alternative. The airport offers plenty of amenities and services including retail and duty-free shopping as well as several restaurants, eateries and cafés to keep travelers happy.

Charles de Gaulle International Airport is the main airport in Paris and the busiest in France comprised of three passenger terminals. There are plenty of ways that you can travel to the airport from Paris including by bus and train if you don’t want to drive or pay for a taxi. Vehicle owners will also find that there is extensive short- and long-term parking. The airport offers an excellent variety of facilities and services including many designer and duty-free shops, a wide range of restaurants and cafés and other amenities including free Wi-Fi access and several luxurious airport lounges.

Paris Orly Airport is located just 13 km from the city center of Paris and is comprised of two passenger terminals. There are public transport services available to reach the airport from Paris including by bus and light rail. Everything you would need is available at the airport including plenty of retail and duty-free shops as well as many dining and drinking choices. The airport also provides unlimited free Wi-Fi amongst other amenities such as a library, children’s play area and a couple of airport lounges.

What to Expect in London
