Croatia Airlines is the flag carrier of Croatia operating flights primarily within Europe. From its main hub at Franjo Tudman Airport, commonly known as Zagreb Airport, Croatia Airlines flies to over 25 destinations and has codeshare agreements with numerous leading airlines such as Singapore Airlines and Turkish Airlines. Established in 1989, the airline is owned by the government of Croatia and is a member of Star Alliance. Croatia Airlines is also a part of the Miles & More frequent flyer program headed by Lufthansa.

How to Check in

Croatia Airlines enable passengers to check-in online or do things the conventional way by checking in at the airport. Passengers choosing to check-in online are able to do so from 36 hours up to 1 hour before scheduled flight times. Checking in online also enables you to print off a boarding pass and select a preferred seat. Those wishing to check-in at the airport are able to do so 2 hours before international flights or 90 minutes before domestic flights. Select airports also offer self-service check-in kiosks which can help you to beat the queues.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Travelers on board Croatia Airlines flights are entitled to bring baggage to check-in as part of the fare, although how much you are allowed depends on your cabin class. For both international and domestic flights, Economy passengers can bring one bag up to 23kg, while Business travelers can check-in two bags up to 32kg each. The price for excess baggage varies depending on your flight, so be sure to check with the airline for accurate information. All passengers are also permitted hand baggage to bring on board - Economy passengers are allowed one item up to 8kg, while those in Business Class are granted two items up to 8kg each. Each item also must not exceed 55cm x 40cm x 20cm and an additional personal item such as a laptop or handbag is permitted.

On Board Service

All Croatia Airlines flights serve passengers complimentary food and beverages, although what is served depends on the flight length and time of day. Economy Class passengers are served a range of snacks and beverages, while Business Class travelers can look forward to snacks, meals and a variety of refreshments and beverages.
