Belavia

Belavia, also known as Belavia Belarusian Airlines, is the flag carrier of Belarus first established in 1996. From its base at Minsk National Airport, the airline provides flights to 40 destinations including seasonal flights to Dubai International Airport. Although the airline primarily provides flights to European and Middle Eastern destinations, it is considering investing in longer range aircraft in order to open up routes to North America and China. As well as having its own frequent flyer program, Belavia Leader, the airline has codeshare agreements with many leading global airlines including Etihad Airways.

How to Check in

Belavia allow passengers to check-in in a number of different ways at your convenience including online, self-service check-ins and the conventional way at a Belavia check-in counter at the airport. Passengers are able to check-in online from 24 hours up to 2 hours before scheduled departure times. After completing your online check-in, you are able to receive a mobile boarding pass or print off your pass. Travelers can also check-in at the airport either at a self-service kiosk or at a Belavia check-in counter. Check-in counters open from 2 hours up to 40 minutes before departures, while the airline advises passengers to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to flights. Self-service kiosk check-in open from 22 hours up to 1 hour before departure times and allow passengers to select a preferred seat.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Travelers on Belavia flights are allowed to bring baggage to check-in as part of the fare, although how much you are entitled to depends on your flight class. Passengers in Economy are able to check-in one item up to 20kg, while those in Premium Economy and Business Class are allowed one item up to 30kg. Belavia Leader frequent flyer members can bring an additional 10kg of baggage to check-in. All passengers are also allowed to bring one item of hand baggage on board flights. Economy passengers can bring one item up to 8kg on board, while Premium Economy and Business Class travelers are allowed up to 12kg.
