EVA Air is an airline based in Taiwan operating flights to over 40 destinations across Asia, North America, Europe and Australia. The main hub of the airline is Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport close to Taipei and ranks as the second largest airline in Taiwan. How to Check in

EVA Air allows passengers to check-in online or do things the conventional way by checking in at the airport. For those wishing to check-in online, the service is available from 24 hours up to 3 hours before flights and also enables passengers to select a preferred seat and even select meals in some cabin classes. Checking in at an EVA Air check-in counter at the airport is just as straightforward, while travelers are also able to utilize self-service check-in kiosks at select airports.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Passengers flying with EVA Air are able to check-in baggage free of charge, although how much you are allowed will depend on your cabin class and destination. For those flying to countries outside of the USA, Canada and select countries in the Americas, Economy passengers can bring 30kg, Elite Class travelers are allowed 35kg and Business/Premium Laurel/Royal Laurel passengers are allowed 40kg. Economy and Elite passengers can also bring one item of hand baggage up to 7kg on board, while in Business/Premium Laurel/Royal Laurel this is increased to two items up to 7kg each. On top of this, all passengers are permitted to bring a personal item such as a handbag or laptop free of charge on board.


EVA Air flights offer a standard Economy Class as well as an Elite and Business/Premium Laurel/Royal Laurel Class for those who like to fly in style. Economy passengers are able to enjoy ample legroom with a seat pitch of 31-36 inches, while in Premium Economy this is increased to 38 inches. Those flying in Business/Premium Laurel/Royal Laurel Class can look forward to legroom of 61-87 inches to stretch out and relax. All passengers are able to select a preferred seat during the online booking process at no extra cost.
