Airport Information - Arriving
Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport has two terminals - Terminal 1 is utilized for domestic operations, while the newer Terminal 2 is the home of international flights. Be advised that the two terminals are located 4km (2 miles) apart, but they are linked together by a free shuttle bus if you need to transfer between flights. At the airport travelers will find all of the amenities and services you would need for a pleasant stay. In addition to its many different shops to pick up the essentials you need for your journey, the airport is home to a varied selection of dining and drinking establishments. The most convenient way to reach central Mumbai once you have landed is to visit the prepaid taxi counter, although there are public buses available if you want a cheaper alternative.
Airport Information - Departing
Indira Gandhi International Airport is the main airport serving New Delhi and also India’s busiest airport handling around 57 million visitors a year. The airport has three operational passenger terminals, although an additional three terminals are currently planned to significantly boost the capacity of the airport. All of the amenities and facilities you would expect a large airport to offer can be enjoyed including a varied selection of shops and many different dining and drinking choices, so you’re sure to have something to do at the airport while you wait for your flight. There are a number of transport options available to reach the airport from New Delhi including the Delhi Airport Metro Express which takes just 20 minutes.
What to Expect in Mumbai
In Mumbai you can expect the weather to be hot for most of the year, although don’t be surprised if it gets a little chilly at night between December and February when temperatures are cooler. Be advised that Mumbai experiences a significant rainy season commencing in June and continuing until September so be prepared for rain if you visit during this period.
