Why Fly with Germania

How to Check in

Passengers catching a flight with Germania will need to check-in the old fashioned way at an airport counter as the airline does not yet support online check-ins. Germania airport counters open 2 hours before scheduled flight departures and close at the latest 45 minutes before flights. However, counters at Tel Aviv and Teheran and at Hamburg for flights to Beirut and Tehran open 3 hours before flights and the airline advises travelers to arrive to check-in at least 3 hours before your flight. The airline also offers an evening check-in service at select airports in Germany, the UK and Switzerland for all flights departing before midday the next day.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Germania allows passengers to bring baggage to check-in to the hold as part of the fare, although allowances vary according to your route. On most flights passengers are allowed up to 20kg of baggage, although baggage allowances vary on some flights including those to Middle East destinations. Be sure to check directly with the airline for up-to-date information about your baggage allowances. Passengers are also entitled to bring one item of hand baggage on board flights up to 6kg and no larger than 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. As well as this, a personal item such as a handbag is also allowed on board.

Before flying, travelers on Germania flights have the option to select a seat for a small surcharge, with both standard seats and XL seat with extra legroom available. A fee of 40AED applies for those booking a standard seat, while an XL seat is available for a fee of 115AED*. Passengers are able to select and pay for a seat either online or at the airport.

On Board Service

Germania offers flyers a variety of food and drink on board flights to keep your appetite happy and your thirst quenched. From the in-flight menu travelers are able to purchase everything from a small snack to a sandwich, while alcoholic beverages and hot drinks are also available.
