Cheap Flights from Chiang Mai to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is the main airport in Bangkok and also the country’s largest. There are four airlines that operate flights from Chiang Mai to Bangkok - Bangkok Airways, Thai Airways, Thai Smile and Thai VietJet Air. Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport should not be confused with Don Mueang International Airport, Bangkok’s other airport.

Airport Information - Arriving

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is a large airport offering all of the amenities and facilities you could possibly need. There is a large selection of shops available at the airport with everything from world-class designer stores and duty free shopping to general shops to get all your basics. In addition to this, you can select from one of many different dining and drinking spots offering everything from quick snacks to tasty hot meals. Once you have arrived at the airport you can easily get into central Bangkok in around 25 minutes on the Airport Rail Link network. Additionally, there is a complimentary shuttle bus traveling to and from Don Mueang International Airport if you need to make a transfer.

Airport Information - Departing

Chiang Mai International Airport is the main airport in Chiang Mai located just 3km outside of the city. The airport itself is made up of two passenger terminals which can transfer between on foot without a problem as they are connected together. There are a few places available at the airport to have a meal or a quick snack so you won’t be short on options, while you can also pick up any last-minute travel basics at some of the shops open to travelers.

What to Expect in Bangkok

The weather in Bangkok isn’t much different to Chiang Mai as it stays warm throughout the year, with a rainy season beginning in May all the way until October. Bangkok has recently benefited from new public transport systems which have made getting around and exploring the city quick and convenient.
